MAGUS CLM10 is a budget-friendly model of a monochrome microscope camera for shooting under fluorescent lighting or darkfield conditions. The 2.3MP matrix produces a 1920x1200px resolution image. The frame rate of 120fps enables you to shoot a moving object. The video is vivid and realistic without delays or gaps. The quality of the footage is suitable for external display and demonstrations. The camera works with medium and high magnification objectives: 40x, 60x, and 100x. Integration with medium magnification objectives enables you to see fine elements better. The USB3.0 interface built into the device has a high data transfer speed and is suitable for professional laboratory research and university-level training.
The camera comes with its own software. The software enables you to independently take photos and record videos, edit images, and measure the linear and angular dimensions of an object and its structure. Before you begin measurements, you must calibrate the device for each objective using a calibration slide.
The camera is equipped with a monochrome Sony CMOS sensor from the Exmor line. It is famous for its back-illumination technology, which gives the camera high light sensitivity with a small matrix size. In the MAGUS CLM10 camera, the matrix size is 1/1.2'' with a pixel size of 5.86x5.86μm and provides a photosensitivity of 1016mV at a shutter speed of 1/30 second. The device can shoot in low light conditions or in fluorescent light. The monochrome matrix will not enable you to distinguish the colors of the object, but it will make the image high-contrast. The widest field of view without distortion can be achieved with an adapter with a magnification of 0.75–1x.
The camera’s global shutter reads the signal from all pixels simultaneously. This results in an image without distortion, even if the object of observation is moving quickly.
The camera is connected to the microscope using a C-mount adapter. There are two connection options: into the trinocular tube or into an eyepiece tube. In the latter case, you will need an adapter ring to fit the tube size.
